Ok, you're ready to start giving the skateboard some street style. Firstly you need to strip theboard down. Unbolt the trucks (wheel components) so you're left with the board and wheels etc as separate pieces. Make sure all surfaces are clean dry and smooth before you begin. Also place down a dust sheet or newspaper to protect the area in which you are spraying.

Alternatively you may want to follow the design overleaf. Start by priming the trucks and surface of the board. We chose White Primer for a tough long lasting finish. Allow one hour drying time.

Using strips of masking tape you can easily create a web effect, lightly apply the tape ensuring the previous coat is dry before doing so.

Next spray Gloss Pacific Blue over the complete area. Again allowing one hour drying time. Once dry carefully remove the masking tape, you now have a web effect.

Take a large section of self-adhesive plastic, draw the outline of the word 'Spider' and cut it out. Keep the bits of self-adhesive plastic you've just cut out handy as you'll need them later on! Lightly place this mask over the web area and again spray Gloss Pacific Blue. Leave to dry for one hour.

When dry lay down the word 'Spider' using the letters you previously cut out and lightly spray White Primer around the edges, this will create the ghosting effect you see overleaf.

Now the spraying is complete leave the board to dry for as long as possible (we would suggest at least an hour). Once you are happy that the paint is completely dry you can re-assemble the components you removed earlier. Your Skateboard champ is now ready for action, what a popular parent you will be!
